Easy Content Management
Caribou makes creating and managing your content a snap. Whether you want to manage static pages, blogs, image galleries, downloads, RSS feeds, or a database of your own information, you'll never leave the comfort of the Caribou control panel. No technical knowledge, required. You can even protect every piece of content (or just some) with subscription-only access.
WYSIWYG Editor
Edit web pages like you would edit a document in your favourite word processor. Upload images or Flash right in the editor and have Caribou generate validated XHTML automatically.
Members-Only Content
Earn revenue from selling subscriptions to your content. Assign membership requirements to individual pages and content or protect entire site areas from non-member access.
Streaming FLV Video Support
Right out-of-the-box, you will be able to add streaming FLV videos to your website. Just upload and save.
Search Engine Optimization Tools
Everything you need for high search engine rankings is included. Specify exact URL's (e.g. "/product/tools.html") and page titles.
Adding content to Caribou CMS
1) Assign a page title, topic, and URL (e.g. "pages/my-page.html" to your content upon submission), 2) Set a Publish Date in the future for delayed publishing, and 3) Upload a feature image that can be automatically resized to dimensions that you determine.
Using the WYSIWYG editor to create content
1) Using the WYSIWYG editor allows you to stylize your content and upload images and Flash files without knowing any HTML and 2) You can specify content options upon submission such as enabling comments from your site's visitors or displaying the content on your homepage.
Restricting content access to member groups
1) When adding or editing content, you can specify which usergroups are able to see the content. All others are asked to login or subscribe, and 2) Creating image galleries is as easy as uploading a series of images. Caribou will format them and create a slideshow and album gallery.
Caribou can manage any type of content
1) You can manage any type of content from within Caribou, from articles to streaming videos to downloads. Furthermore, if you want to create a unique database of content, you can use the Forms module to create a backend form that will add new link to this drop-down menu and allow you to manage the content like a native content type.
